Having developed a state of the art autonomous checkout platform for brick & mortar retailers, Standard AI needed help with developing an updated marketing website to better reflect the maturity of their platform, while providing flexibility in managing content.
Being a smaller marketing site with news, articles, and career listings, a lightweight approach was taken with Netlify CMS (rebranded as Decap CMS), a Git-based headless CMS, and Gatsby for the front-end. Hosted on Netlify, automatic deployments occured whenever Netlify CMS made a content update, via commit to the GitHub repo.
This version of Standard’s marketing website was live between 2020–2023. In 2021, they raised a $151M Series C, and became the world’s first autonomous checkout unicorn, with a $1B+ valuation.
